报告摘要:Dynamic Spectrum Access (DSA) has emerged as the viable solution to overcome apparent spectrum scarcity for emerging wireless communication services and applications. Cognitive radio (CR) has been proposed as the main enabling technology for DSA. With the ongoing deployment of 5G systems around the globe, research focus has now shifted towards development of 6G wireless communication systems. Artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML) techniques are widely expected to be an important ingredient of 6G systems. These techniques have shown great potential for use in DSA systems to provide efficient utilization of highly congested spectrum. In this talk, we first provide an overview of cognitive radio-based DSA techniques and then discuss the use of AI/ML techniques for DSA in next generation wireless communication systems to achieve robust, efficient, and smart spectrum coexistence between incumbent and unlicensed users. The talk will conclude with the discussion on future research directions in this field.
