报告题目:浅谈通感一体化的波形设计

Integrated sensing and communications (ISAC) is a promising wireless paradigm that innovatively use one signal to accommodate both communications and sensing functionalities. In this talk, we will discuss the waveform design for ISAC transmissions, where the communication-centric ISAC design will be highlighted. The talk will commerce from discussing the suitable sensing performance metric and then studying how to achieve good sensing performance using both deterministic and random communication signals. For deterministic communication signals, we will show that their ambiguity functions are limited by the Heisenberg’s uncertainty principle, where the delay-Doppler (DD) domain impulse serves as a special case with locally localized but globally ambiguous response. For random communication signals, we will show the optimality of orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) in terms of the ranging performance in the expected sense. As a step further, we will discuss the potential of non-orthogonal communication waveforms for sensing and highlight how the effect of spectral aliasing degrades the sensing performance. Finally, some open questions in the ISAC waveform design will be discussed.

李双洋,玛丽居里学者,目前任职于德国柏林工业大学。李博士已在领域著名期刊和国际会议上发表学术论文80余篇,其中以第一作者发表期刊论文13篇,书籍章节1篇,会议论文10篇,以通信作者发表期刊论文10篇,谷歌学术累计文章引用数超过2900。李博士拥有2篇ESI高被引论文,1篇中国通信封面文章,1篇IEEE JSAC特色文章, 并获得了2023年度IEEE国际通信会议 (ICC) 以及IEEE无线通信及网络会议 (WCNC) 的最佳论文奖。李博士目前是IEEE Transactions on Communications 的编辑,并曾多次获得IEEE期刊的模范审稿人称号。李博士是2024年度IEEE 通信学会EMEA地区最佳青年学者奖获得者,并且是IEEE通信学会旗下正交时频空调制特别兴趣小组的创始成员之一并且目前任职小组联合主席。李博士的研究方向为编码调制,信号处理,应用信息论,及其在通信系统中的应用。
