Title: Isometric embedding of surfaces in the 3-dim Euclidean spaces.
Abstract: In this talk, we discuss the isometric embedding of closed surfaces in the 3-dim Euclidean spaces. We will prove the compactness of a class of surfaces studied by Alexandrov and Nirenberg.
