报告题目:Advancing Mobile Health via Audio and Physiological Computing in the Era of Generative AI

报告摘要:

    Artificial intelligence (AI) has made significant strides in various domains, demonstrating its potential to revolutionize healthcare. Meanwhile, advances in wearable sensing and mobile computing have enabled the collection of health and well-being data outside of traditional laboratory and hospital settings, paving the way for a new era of mobile health. This seminar will highlight key findings and applications where AI, combined with audio and physiological sensing, is driving transformative innovation in healthcare. Topics will cover speech and acoustic sensing, the impact of generative AI and large language models, and the rise of large multimodal models designed specifically for health contexts. Additionally, we will explore multi-agent systems in healthcare that broaden the range of mobile health applications. The seminar will also address real-world challenges and offer practical strategies for adapting these technologies, aiming to achieve more robust and reliable health screening and monitoring outside of clinical settings.

报告人简介:

    Ting Dang is a Senior Lecturer at the School of Computing and Information Systems at the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on mobile health, audio and speech processing, affective computing and wearable sensing. She has served on the Editorial Board of IEEE Pervasive Computing and Computer Speech & Language, as an Area Chair for ICASSP 2025, and Senior PC for AAAI. She has co-organized workshops and tutorials at ACII, UbiComp, ICMI, and MobileHCI.
