报告题目： Testing Equality of Several Distributions in Metric Spaces: a semidistance-based approach

报告摘要：
A new test for assessing the equality of distribution across multiple high-dimensional samples within separable metric spaces is proposed and investigated. The test statistic is constructed based on the interpoint distances, and its asymptotic null and alternative distributions are established under relatively mild conditions. The test is implemented through a three-cumulant matched chi-square-approximation, with the associated approximation parameters being consistently estimated from the observed data. Various distance functions are presented as options. Extensive simulation studies demonstrate the high accuracy of the proposed test in terms of controlling size, surpassing some existing competitors in power, and exhibiting superior computing efficiency. The good performances of the new test are further illustrated through a real-world dataset from the fields of economics.

报告人简介：
张金廷，新加坡国立大学统计与数据科学系终身教授，担任博士生和博士后导师。张教授出生于中国广东省，1988年在北京大学获得学士学位，1991年于中国科学院应用数学研究所取得硕士学位，1999年在美国北卡罗来纳大学教堂山分校获得博士学位。张教授曾在哈佛大学从事博士后研究，并先后在普林斯顿大学、罗切斯特大学等多所美国高校担任高级访问学者。张教授的研究领域包括非参数统计、纵向数据分析、函数数据分析和高维数据分析等，在统计学国际顶尖杂志JRSSB、AOS、JASA、JOE等发表了80余篇学术论文，撰写了两部统计学专著，并主编了一本学术论文集。现任或曾任多家学术期刊的副主编或编委，其中包括现任统计学国际顶尖杂志JASA副主编，还曾多次参与组织国际大型学术会议。
