报告摘要: 

In this talk, the speaker will discuss the basics of weak Galerkin finite element methods, from the germination to the latest development of the method. The presentation is targeted for graduate students and junior researchers in the area of computational mathematics and scientific computing.

报告人简介:

Dr. Wang received his Ph. D from the University of Chicago in 1988. His research interests have been focused on numerical methods for partial differential equations, particularly on the development of new finite element methods for PDEs. Dr. Wang currently serves as a program director at the Division of Mathematical Sciences of the US National Science Foundation.
